The memory of Aoife and Aine live on through The Aoife and Aine Kennedy Memorial Fund. The young Carnew sisters died tragically in 2006 and 2010 respectively. Aoife’s passing inspired her family to fundraise in her memory and help save a child’s life. They founded the memorial fund in 2007. For more information see www.aoifeandainecharity.com
Following extensive fundraising, a cheque for €17,000 was handed to Friends of Wexford General Hospital for the new Paediatric ward in the new A&E Unit by the Aoife and Aine Memorial Fund. It included a substantial donation of €10,200 from DoneDeal.
The second cheque for €3,098 was presented to St Gabriel’s ward and was raised through Rosslare Ladies Golf Day.
