The Friends of Wexford General Hospital were delighted to learn that the Hope and Dream 10 2018 will include raising funds for our MRI Scanner NOW fundraising campaign.
Hope and Dream 10 2017 raised €160,000 which went to the Hope Cancer Support Centre in Enniscorthy and County Wexford Hospice Homecare Service. The target for 2018 will be to raise €200,000 which will divided between Hope Cancer Centre, Co Wexford Hospice and Friends of WGH.
Speaking on behalf of Friends of Wexford General Hospital, Chairperson Ciaran Sheridan said “the success of this annual run is phenomenal and on behalf of all involved in fundraising for the MRI Scanner for WGH I sincerely thank the organisers for reaching out to support us in our endeavours towards raising €250,000 towards the overall cost of the MRI scanner.”
“An MRI scanner is a minimum requirement for a functioning hospital and we want our local hospital to have this vital piece of equipment” added Ciaran.
